The aim of the Interreg Czechia-Slovakia programme is to address the common challenges of cross-border regions through joint cross-border projects. This call is for P2: Education, culture and tourism.
Call objectives
The following priorities and specific objectives have been developed within the programme:
- P2: Education, culture and tourism
- SO 2.1: Improving equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training
- SO 2.2: Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation
Expected results
The programme proposes the following (non exhaustive) types of measures:
P2: Education, culture and tourism
- SO 2.1: Improving equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training
- Creation of common educational materials and content, support for the development of digital skills, including online safety and the prevention of socio-pathological phenomena (cyber-bullying, discrimination, etc.), activities aimed at increasing the use of innovative and new forms and practices, including online and distance learning (e.g. activities promoting pupil and student mobility (between educational institutions) and teacher mobility, activities promoting cooperation with employers to increase the quality and relevance of dual and vocationally oriented education
- SO 2.2: Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation
- Activities aimed at preserving and improving the technical condition of tangible cultural heritage and natural monuments, activities aimed at building facilities for the preservation and development of intangible cultural heritage, including its digitisation, activities aimed at creating a comprehensive tourist offer in the border area (e.g. linking certain types of monuments in the form of nature trails, thematic routes), activities aimed at preserving, modernising and building tourist infrastructure
- Activities to raise awareness of the possibilities of exploiting the cultural and natural heritage in the border area, including innovative and digital approaches, the implementation of joint activities and strategies involving the integration of destinations, cooperation in the field of training of tourism professionals, exchange of know-how, etc.

Project Partnership
The minimum eligible partnership must involve at least one partner from each participating Country.
In order to be eligible, projects must contribute to at least three out of the following four cooperation criteria.
- Joint development (mandatory)
- Joint implementation (mandatory)
- Joint financing
- Joint staffing

The programme area in which the implementation of the projects is to have an impact are NUTS III regions - in the Slovak Republic the Trnava self-governing region, the Trenčín selfgoverning region and the Žilina self-governing region, in the Czech Republic the South Moravian region, the Zlín region and the Moravian-Silesian region.
