Description of programme
"ROP Romania"

The Regional Operational Programme (ROP) aims at promoting smart sustainable and inclusive growth in all regions in Romania making them more attractive places in which to live and work. The programme addresses the major development challenges for Romania: regional competitiveness, sustainable urban development, the low-carbon economy, and economic and social infrastructure at regional and local level. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme is divided into the following Priority Axes (PA):

  • PA1 - Promoting technology transfer
  • PA2 - Improving SME competitiveness
  • PA3 - Supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy
  • PA4 - Supporting sustainable urban development
  • PA5 - Improvement of the urban environment and preservation, protection and sustainable valorisation of cultural heritage
  • PA6 - Improving road infrastructure of regional importance
  • PA7 - Diversifying local economies through the sustainable development of tourism
  • PA8 - Developing health and social infrastructure
  • PA9 - Supporting the economic and social regeneration of disadvantaged communities in the urban environment
  • PA10 - Improving the educational infrastructure
  • PA11 - The geographic extension of the property registration system in the cadastre and land book
