Description
of programme "European Defence Industrial Development Programme" | The European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP), which paves the way for the European Defence Fund that will be established for the funding period 2021-2027, focuses on the promotion of a strong and innovative defence industry as well as on raising the EU's autonomy and technological leadership in defence. For the funding period of 2017-2020 the EDIDP supports defence research and the development of equipment and technology. |

Description of call "Future naval platforms and related technologies" | Naval power superiority is a key factor for the European armed forces to defend European territory
and citizens as well as to enable power projection in more remote geographical areas. Evolving operational environment and
threats require the development of the next generation naval platforms and their related systems. The increasing diversity
and evolution of operational threats (such as asymmetric warfare, swarming, surface and/or high speed air threats, wider proliferation
of anti-ship missiles) as well as new threats (like hypersonic weapons or anti-ship ballistic missiles), require new naval
defence capabilities supported by risk assessment. Proposals are invited against the following topic:
