"Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs"
The Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) is the European Commission service responsible for:
  • completing the Internal Market for goods and services
  • helping turn the EU into a smart, sustainable, and inclusive economy by implementing the industrial and sectorial policies of the flagship Europe 2020 initiative
  • fostering entrepreneurship and growth by reducing the administrative burden on small businesses; facilitating access to funding for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); and supporting access to global markets for EU companies. All of these actions are encapsulated in the Small Business Act
  • generating policy on the protection and enforcement of industrial property rights, coordinating the EU position and negotiations in the international intellectual property rights (IPR) system, and assisting innovators on how to effectively use IP rights
  • delivering the EU's space policy via the two large-scale programmes Copernicus (European Earth observation satellite system) and Galileo (European global navigation satellite system), as well research actions to spur technological innovation and economic growth

Description of call
"Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Global – Preparatory Action"
The overall objective of the call is to support new or aspiring European entrepreneurs in the crucial phase of establishing, running and growing their business by working with an experienced entrepreneur from a country or territory outside the EU.  New entrepreneurs should be able to develop their entrepreneurial skills, international outlook and competitiveness. The purpose of this call is to select three organisations/consortia that will recruit ‘host entrepreneurs’ from at least three countries or territories among Canada, Israel, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the US, and manage their successful exchanges with at least 100 ‘new entrepreneurs’ (per applicant) from the EU.

Eligible applicants Lobby Group / Professional Association / Trade Union, International Organization, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, SMEs (between 10 and 249 employees), Microenterprises (fewer than 10 employees), Start Up Company, Association, Public Services, Enterprise (more than 250 employees or not defined), Federal State / Region / City / Municipality / Local Authority, Education and Training Centres
Applicant details Proposals may be submitted by any of the following applicants:
  • Public entities responsible for or active in the fields of economic affairs, enterprise, business support or related issues;
  • Chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of handicrafts or similar bodies;
  • Business support organisations, start-up centres, incubators, technology parks, etc.;
  • Business associations and business support networks;
  • Public and private entities offering business support services.
Project Partner Details
Applicants can be single organizations or consortia. All applicants should cover at least 3 host countries or territories among Canada (max. 2 Provinces can be covered by each applicant), Israel, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the USA (max. 2 States can be covered by each applicant).
Project duration max 36 months
