Description of call "Country Based Support Scheme (CBSS) 2015 and 2016 - Bosnia and Herzegovina" |
This action intends to support the new EU Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy "Keeping human rights at the heart of the EU agenda" which was adopted by the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) on 20 July 2015. The new Action Plan aims to reinforce the implementation of the EU's human rights and democracy policy with a special emphasis on strengthening ownership by local institutions, mechanisms and civil society actors, and to invigorate support to human rights defenders and democracy activists. The specific objective of this Call for Proposals is to support civil society and human rights defenders in third countries in working on human rights (political, civil, economic, social and cultural), and democratisation. |
