Description of programme
"Justice"

The general objective of the Programme shall be to contribute to the further development of a European area of justice based on mutual recognition and mutual trust, in particular by promoting judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters. The Programme focuses on the following Specific Objectives:

  • to facilitate and support judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters
  • to support and promote judicial training, including language training on legal terminology, with a view to fostering a common legal and judicial culture
  • to facilitate effective access to justice for all, including to promote and support the rights of victims of crime, while respecting the rights of the defence
  • to support initiatives in the field of drugs policy as regards judicial cooperation and crime prevention aspects closely linked to the general objective of the Programme

Description of call
"Action grants to promote judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters"
The main objectives are to facilitate and support judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters, and to promote the rule of law, independence and impartiality of the judiciary, including by supporting the efforts to improve the effectiveness of national justice systems, and the effective enforcement of decisions. The Priorities are:
  1. Judicial cooperation in civil matters;
  2. Judicial cooperation in criminal matters;
  3. Support to Member States for the setting up and strengthening of national networks active in the area of judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters;
  4. Support to Member States for their connection to the ECRIS-TCN system.

  • for priorities 1 and 2, the minimum number of applicants is 2.
  • for priority 3 and 4, proposals by single applicants are allowed.
Proposals submitted by a consortium must have minimum 2 entities from different eligible countries.
